The
RISIS name is synonymous with
Singapore
’s
most famous orchid souvenirs. These delicate gold-plated orchids
have charmed many from around the world. Find out how live
orchids are immortalised in gold in
a simplified demonstration of the patented orchid-plating
process. This features a copper-forming of live orchids, nickel
plating and finishing off with gold plating.
Participants
will get hands-on experience in dipping the copper-formed
orchids in steps 2 and 3 of the gold-plating process. You will
also get a plated orchid as a memento of your experience. Light
refreshments will be served.
