How
are health foods made in order to retain their nutritional
values? To find the answers, visit the health food factories.
Health
Food Factory Tour 1 covers a Tempeh Factory (to see how high
protein fermented bean cakes are made), Yakult Plant (which
produces the healthy
drink for our body’s digestive system), Bird’s Nest Factory
(see how bird’s nest is collected and differentiate the
genuine product from the imitation ones) and the Spices of the
Orient (which mills and mixes herbal spices to produce a variety
of ready-to-use seasoning flour). Participants will get to see a
cooking demonstration using the various spices to dish up simple
and delicious meals. They will also have the opportunity to
sample the products at the factories and buy them at discounted
prices.
Health
Food Factory Tour 2 covers a Sauce factory (where different types of sauces and ingredients are
being produced), Doufu manufacturing plant (you get to taste
some fresh soya milk),
Yakult Plant (which produces the
healthy drink for our body’s digestive system) and Herbal
Jelly factory (to find out what gives this jelly its black
colour).
