Making The Pieces Fit

Solving a jigsaw puzzle is a challenging and stimulating pastime for families and friends to spend quality time together. At the Civil Service Club’s Jigsaw Competition 2005, this simple pastime is elevated to a competitive level where quick thinking, good colour sense and strong visualisation ability of each team-mate come into play in a race against time. The emphasis is always on teamwork and fun rivalry amongst teams.

The aim is to finish a 1000-piece puzzle in the quickest time. The three-hour competition is open to teams comprising a minimum of three or a maximum of four participants. If none of the teams is able to complete the puzzle within the allocated time, judging will be based on the largest single block of puzzle completed.

The winning team clinches the title of CSC Jigsaw Champion and gets a cash prize of $100 plus four sets of tic-tac-toe pewter ware valued at $300, sponsored by Royal Selangor. The 2nd finisher gets a cash prize of $80 plus Body Care Products valued at $240, sponsored by Arran Aromatics, while the 3rd placed winner gets a cash prize of $60 plus gift hampers valued at $160, sponsored by Humming House Flowers & Gifts Pte Ltd. There are also 7 consolation prizes to be won. Every team gets to bring home its box of puzzle pieces after the competition.

So gather your family, friends and colleagues to take up the challenge of Jigsaw Competition 2005!  Have fun as you join hands to make the pieces fit!
