MHA Scores in Beach Volleyball

Similar to last year, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) dominated the men’s category in the Public Service Beach Volleyball Tournament held at the Clementi Beach volleyball court on 13 and 14 May 10. A total of 24 teams from nine government agencies participated in the event. MHA was crowned overall champion after also emerging 1st runner-up in the women’s category.
Mr Kek Chin Ken said that his players were ecstatic after successfully defended the overall championship title. Despite their work commitments, the MHA teams managed to hold regular trainings as a group and swept the top four positions in the men’s category. He gave special credit to his women’s team for “performing to their best’, especially after being unplaced at last year’s tournament. Mr Kek said, “Volleyball is one of the core sports played in MHA and winning the tournament will bring further glory to MHA”.
