Laksa & Wine
Pairing
LAKSA, a hot
and spicy dish, can be tough on wine as chilli-infused
dishes tend to dampen the apparent fruitiness and sharpen
the tannic edge in red wines. However, some wines can
withstand the spiciness, such as Gewurztraminer. Its
perfumed, spice and lychee character stays vibrantly
refreshing with spicy food. In this session, taste 4
different wines (1 sparkling, 2 whites and 1 red) with laksa
and learn about wine and spicy food pairing from Mr Jeffrey
Soh of Tapestry Room.
