Line Dance with Jenny Khor at Bukit Batok

Line dancing or Bootscoot’n as some call it, probably originated from the old ‘Contra’ dances popular in the New England States (USA) from the early 1800’s or from ‘Square Dancing’. Back then, the most common move was the basic ‘step, cross, step, lift (or scoot)’. Today, line dancing encompasses many dance styles drawn from a variety of influences such as Latin, Ballroom, Jive, Irish, Funk, Salsa, etc making it the most diverse dance form in the world.

You can fall in love with line dancing no matter how young or old you are! It’s great fun and great exercise and you don't need a partner to learn it.

Instructor Ms Jenny Khor has been teaching line dancing for four years now. Passionate about dancing, Jenny has just completed her bronze medal test in Latin Dance and looks forward to completing the gold medal test next year.
