The Wine Club of Civil Service Club,
Singapore’s newest society for wine lovers, has announced next
month’s cork-popping activities.
Our inaugural event will splash down with
Latin passion at South American Extravaganza on Friday, 17 Jun
05. Attend this event and be swept off your feet by festivity
and our poolside roasts and Brazilian barbecues expertly
prepared by Brazil Churrascaria, famous Sixth Avenue restaurant.
Brazilian beef, chicken, pork, pineapple and a wide selection of
cold salads and other dishes - you name it, we have it!
The tall-necked "ladies" of the evening
accompanying this feast will be a wide selection of wines from
Chile. The popularity of Chilean wine has been steadily
increasing over the past few years, but the relative youth of
this player means very good value quality Chilean wines can
still be found.
To Chilean music, members will also mingle
with staff from the Chilean embassy who have been invited to
heighten conversations with our increasingly sophisticated
members. They will also introduce many beautiful highlights and
scenic spots.
Wine, according to Alexander Pope, awakens
and refreshes the lurking passions of the mind, and varnishes
the colours of any scene. Let Chilean wine and the fine company
of the Wine Club paint for you a sublime evening in all its
natural glowings.
