ART OF AIKIDO

Aikido teaches one how to relax yet maintain a firm centre (a point about two inches above the navel), and how it is possible to use soft, smooth, circular movements to defend oneself from an opponent of superior size and strength.

The goal of Aikido training is not perfection of a step or skill, but of becoming one with nature. And it is this aspect which is appealing to many.  Aikido, sometimes called "moving Zen", provides guidelines for improving the human spirit. It is becoming very popular worldwide possibly because people are starting to seek, through martial arts, not physical strength but strength of character and harmony between their spirit and mankind which also emphasise proper etiquette and attitude.

Aikido is a timeless treasure and is suitable for all ages, including children, ladies and the elderly. The instructors are Philip FC Lee 6th Dan and Richard Goh 2nd Dan.
