1 DAY BATIK , PEWTER AND JB SHOPPING

Join us on a fun and educational tour of batik and pewter in Johor Bahru and enjoy some shopping as well. The ethnic art of batik painting has withstood the test of time and become fashionably relevant today. Learn the art of batik painting in a hands-on session at the Batik Handicraft Centre and after knowing the techniques, fill in the colours on a piece of white cloth with ready motif or picture drawn on it. Your piece will be framed after the drying process and returned to you as your masterpiece! You can also purchase ready-made batik pieces such as scarf, wraparound skirt (pareo) and souvenir items.  Be entertained by angklung songs and also get some tips on how to play the instrument from the in-house musician.

The next stop is the pewter factory where you will see how tin ore is melted and moulded into different souvenirs such as key chains, tea canisters and trophies.

After lunch, indulge in a spot of shopping at Tebrau City, the biggest and latest in Johor with JUSCO as the anchor tenant.

The itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Replacement attractions will be decided by majority vote of participants.
