Make Lovely Tunisian
Crochets
A blend of knitting and crochet, Tunisian Crochet (TC) has
been around for a long time, though its origins are unknown.
TC fabric is firm and strong yet it drapes well. Conducted
by Leaping Yarns, the following classes are all based on
original works.
TC Workshop 1 –
Lotus Pouch

In this workshop, you’ll
learn how to make a pretty lotus pouch via the entrelac
technique for various uses, among them an appealing Chinese
New Year orange carrier.

Member $70, Public Officer/Guest $74 (Fee includes 2 balls
of 100g cotton yarn for 2 pouches, 1 hook & yarn needle.)
TC Workshop 2 –
The ‘Gong’ Bag (Only for those who have completed Workshop
1)

Working on TC in circular form, this workshop incorporates
crochet and basic macramé to expose you to a variety of
techniques. The bag mimics the traditional ‘gong’ — a
Chinese musical instrument — with a crocheted motif in the
center.

Member $66, Public Officer/Guest $70 (Fee includes 4 balls
of 50g yarn. Participants to bring own TC hook and crochet
hook which can also be purchased at the workshop.)
