A total of 21 teams from 13
government agencies participated in the Public Service
Netball Tournament held from 13 to 17 April 09 at the
Singapore Polytechnic. For the Ministry of Home Affairs’
netball team, the finals on Friday, 17 Apr 09 was a day to
remember. The MHA team overcame Ministry of Education in a
hard fought match to emerge champion. MHA netball convener
Ms Elfira Neo said the wait for this triumph “seemed like
eternity”, as her team had been “hungry” for it the past few
years. Weekly training sessions and “commitment and fighting
spirit” on the part of the team were decisive too, she
added.
