In
the Public Service Tennis Tournament held at Singapore
Polytechnic from 1 to 29 April
09, the finals on 29 Apr 09 was a special moment for Ministry of
Education. The team finally broke their two-year losing streak
to Ministry of Health to emerge champion. Mr Janus Low, the MOE
team captain, said his team was “absolutely thrilled”
at their victory. He also credited the fact that most of his
team members were playing for external clubs, and benefited
from the exposure to league competitions. Fostering of team
spirit and bonding was also important, he added, as they had
known each other for several years. Nineteen teams from 17
government agencies participated in the event.
