Christopher Worley

Christopher (Chris) Worley is the Research Professor Emeritus of Management at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business, a clinical professor of strategy and organisation at the Rennes School of Business (France), and a research affiliate at USC’s Marshall Center for Effective Organisations. He is a recognised leader in the field of organisation agility, organisation development, and organisation design.
Between 2015 and 2019, Dr Worley was the founding Strategy Director at the Center for Leadership and Effective Organisations at the NEOMA Business School in France, Chair of the Academy of Management’s Organisation Development and Change division, and Director of the Master of Science in Organisation (MSOD) program at Pepperdine University. He received the McGregor Award from the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science and Pepperdine University’s Luckman Distinguished Teaching Fellowship. Dr Worley is co-author of The Agility Factor, Becoming Agile, Management Reset, Built to Change, Integrated Strategic Change, co-editor of two volumes Organising for Sustainable Effectiveness series, and co-author of eight editions of Organisation Development and Change.
On top of his research activities, Dr Worley consults internationally on issues of organisation design and change with large companies, including Microsoft, Google, PepsiCo, Unilever, Lockheed Martin, Chemours, PPG, Bayer, Enedis, adidas, and Nike, as well as local and national government organisations in the United States, China, and France.
